| | After not running for 2.5 weeks, I felt like......BLAH. But that's to be expected. It felt like I was running for the first time in 6 months! My body has felt trashed since the Portland marathon and in addition, I've had a pain in the ball of my right foot as well. The issue in my foot is still there, but after overeating the past 10+ days, I was dying for a run. |

| | 6 miles before the dreaded teleconference. The news wasn't good. Again. It's 2008 all over again. Looks like the weekend started a couple days early! Perhaps a good trail run tomorrow near OHSU is in order. |

Awesome run! I drove up Boones Ferry rd to a forest/park near Lewis & Clark College for a refreshing trail run. It hasn't rained in a couple days, so the trails were relatively dry. Also, with it being a mid-day run, I had the trails to myself. It's great being 5 minutes from downtown Portland yet feel like your hours away from anyone. It would be great to run here again...who knows? Maybe I'll make it a monthly treat. We'll see. Cumulus (567)

| | 9 miles before helping Dave Solomon move. It was a little chilly but not too bad. My foot feels pretty good but overall my body feels tired. I clearly lost some fitness by not running for 15+ days and eating like garbage. So it goes. |

| | 10 miles around Tualatin HS xc course and then to Redbox to return last nights movie. Pretty good run; probably the best I've felt since pre-Portland marathon. |

| | 8 miles while zig-zagging around Ryan's loop. I timed it just right--The rain stopped when I began my run and then poured down just 5 minutes after I finished. I wish I was always so lucky! |

| | Nothing today. I played basketball last night and came home with 2 blood blisters on the ball of each of foot. I guess that's what I get for playing for the first time in nearly 1 year. On a side note, I threw my basketball shoes in the trash once I got home. Now I won't be tempted to go play in the future. | Comments(2) |
| | 7 miles into Tigard, plus a few laps around the HS track. My feet felt surprisingly good despite the blisters. Go figure... |

| | Brutal run. It was raining pretty hard (we've got a flood warning through today and tomorrow) so I was drenched less than 1 mile into the run. By 4 miles I couldn't feel my hands/fingers and I was very cold. I had planned on 12 miles but seeing how I wanted to quit by 4 miles, I figure 8 wasn't too bad given the circumstances. |

| | 2.5 miles to the track in Tigard, then 5 miles on the track. Splits were 6:40, 6:38, 6:34, 6:29, 5:29. I picked up the pace on the last one because the rain started POURING and I wanted to finish and go home. I couldn't have gotten any wetter if I was standing in the shower. Thankfully the rain didn't last long--it pretty much stopped when I left the school so the 2.5 miles home were rain-free. |

| | 9 miles in zero rain which made for a nice change. I ran up to Tualatin HS and ran a couple miles around the track, then home via Fred Meyer. |

Tigard HS loop. It's been a while since I ran this route. I ran it 3 times a week in training for the Portland marathon so it was like long-lost friends reuniting today. Haha. Felt pretty good. PM: 1 mile @ Hedges Creek

| | 10 miles around Ryan's loop. Feeling really good for a change. Maybe it's time to put some races on the calendar... |

| | Long-ish run today as I may not have much time tomorrow. I felt decent; not great but not too bad. It was cold (colder than its been in a while anyway). Lots on my mind as its been a strange couple of weeks. It felt good to get out and think for a while. |

| | Easy run around the Desperate Housewives loop. Hopefully I haven't increased my mileage to quickly. I'll take it easy(ish) next week. |

| | 10 miles around the Tigard HS loop. It was dry for the first 50 minutes, then pouring rain for the last 20. I'm feeling a little sick but it's nothing too bad so hopefully it passes soon. |

| | 9 miles around the hospital loop. My watch stopped working so I wasn't sure of my time/distance until I got home and was able to measure it on the computer. I was hoping to run 10 but so it goes sometimes. |

| | Ryan's loop this morning. I think my sickness is nearly gone. For the first time in 5-6 days, my throat didn't hurt when I woke up which was a nice change. Let the festivities begin! |

| | Merry Christmas! After the events of the morning, and while the rest of the family took naps, I went out for a quick run. Awesome weather for December 25th (T-shirt, shorts, NO GLOVES) and I'm healthy and happy. Good stuff! I ran into Lake Oswego (I needed a bathroom so thank the good people of Burger King for being open!), past Bridgeport Village (shocked to see that many people shopping on Christmas day) and then back home via Martiniazzi Ave.

| | Pretty good run today. It was one of those runs when you feel like any speed and distance is a piece of cake. I would have ran 4-5 more miles but I needed to get home, plus it rained the entire time and I was soaking wet/cold. Desperate Housewives loop, plus the neighborhood behind THS, 1 mile on the track and then home. Good stuff. |

| | 12 rain-free miles this morning. They were predicting snow and it didn't even rain. I ran into Lake Oswego and then returned past Trader Joe's, then around the Tigard HS loop in reverse. |

| | 9 miles in the COLD this morning. Only 30 degrees which isn't bad at all, but 100% humidity and thick fog made it feel like 15-18 degrees. The hair on my legs frosted over, as well as my gloves and beanie. I ran to Tualatin HS and did a few loops around the xc course and track. Picked up the pace for 1 mile and ran 5:49 but the rest were 7:00/pace. |

| | Solid run to finish out the year. I didn't break any speed records but the pace was decent so I'll take it. I ran south on Boones Ferry (uphill) past the HS and to the freeway overpass in just under 24 minutes (6:54 pace). I turned around and had some decent rollers and then long downhill through the Desperate Housewives loop to Tualatin/Sherwood Highway and 124th st in 34 minutes (6:30 pace). Finished with 3.1 miles on Ryan's loop in exactly 19 minutes (6:05 pace) and then a slow jog back to my house for a cooldown. |
