In GP, across the river and around the HS, then home.  Nothing special.  My legs feel great after a weekend of rest.

Ran past Albertsons, the hospital and middle school.  Saw my first ever skunk.  I thought it was a cat slowly crossing in front of me.  As I got closer and and could see it under the street lights better, saw the black creature with a white stripe down its back.  It raised its tail and I dashed to the other side of the street and went on my way, thankfully, smell-free.

AM: 10 miles around GP.  Feeling good.

PM: 10 miles in Coos Bay.  I ran a 3 mile warm up, then hit the track for some mile repeats.  First mile in 5:06 followed by a 90 sec jog.  Second mile in 5:05 followed by the same break.  3rd mile in 5:03 and another 90 second jog.  Right as I started the 4th and final mile, my right hamstring siezed up on me and I quickly stopped.  It bothers me to not finish a workout but....injuries bother me worse and there's no sense in heading down that road.  4 mile cool down and a VERY easy pace.

Didn't sleep too hot because of my leg but felt fine enough to run this morning.  Started slow and eventually warmed up.  By the time I finished my leg felt good (not great, but good) so I'll take it.  I'll keep the rest of the week easy pace and go from there.

AM: 7 miles this morning.  Pretty warm out and I was over-dressed.  Hopefully a few more miles tonight but if not, no biggie.

20 miles this morning.  First 20 mile run of 2012 and I hope the rest go as smoothly.  I kept the pace easy throughout--no tempos, no intervals, nothing but casual running on a perfect February morning.  So perfect that I ran in short sleeves and arm warmers/gloves.  First time I've used the arm sleeves and I like them.

Anyway, ran all around GP.  First the the west, then back and across the bridge.  From there to Sportsman Park and back to the north freeway.  Quick bathroom break at McDonalds and then home via the HS, the library, east Albertsons and the middle school.  Legs felt great.  Lungs felt even better.  Averaged 7:01/mile for 20.  Solid.
