I really struggled this morning to get anything going. Not sure why? I didn't swim for a week while in Oregon, so I'm guessing I was a little tired from yesterdays swimming. Anyway, I started with 3 easy miles, then just stood there, not wanting to start a tempo workout. Not only was I lacking in energy, but I wasn't into it mentally either. Anyway, after 10 minutes of delayed stretching, I finally started. I ran the hotel frontage road out 2 miles, back 2 miles, then under the freeway and past the movie theater. I finished the 5 mile tempo and did 2 more easy miles, then called it a day. I'm tired.

I bet the swimming yesterday and the speed work on Monday probably fatigued you a bit. Also what has your diet been like the last few days? That could be a factor with not enough carbs in the diet.

Just my thoughts. Very impressive workout even though you were tired.

I'm pretty sure my diet hasn't changed from the past few months. Just delayed fatigue from the previous couple days. Hope it doesn't make for a rough long run this weekend. I woke up all sorts of tired this morning...
