22 miles around GP.  I didn't have much of a plan today--figured I'd just get out and see how I feel.  If nothing else I would run 20ish miles easy and call it a day but if I felt quick then I'd throw in some speed along the way.

I ran south along New Hope Rd (feels just like Flagstaff) and then looped around the Cathedral Hills on Cloverdawn Rd.  The first 4 miles were rolling, followed by 3 up and 3 down.  I felt good from the start and hit the first 7 miles in 6:42/mile average.

Started a tempo (thought I'd only go for 7 miles but ended up extending it for 12 miles).  Miles 8-10 were downhill (5:59, 5:36, 5:34) and then I ran to Walmart via N Street (5:49, 5:35, 5:38, 5:20).  I then looped around Fred Meyer to the south I-5 exit, passed the hotel and the HS and then ran up 7th street (5:41, 5:32, 5:47).  Final two miles of the tempo were south into downtown and the farmers market (5:54, 5:34).  Felt solid throughout and as always, felt stronger on the uphill and flat sections compared to the downhill portions.

Final 3 miles were slow across the river to the hospital and home (6:43, 6:57, 7:25).  Total running time for 22 miles was 2:16:10 for an average of 6:11/mile.  I think I'm ready to run TOU.  I guess I better sign up...
