I slept in and went out around 8:30. That was a mistake. It's officially hot in Cedar City. I ran nice and easy through the backroads to the north freeway exit, south to the golf course and around the new homes there, then back home. I averaged 7:30/mile for the first 10 miles, then ran a 5:24 for my last mile. It felt good to pick up the pace for the first time in a while. I had wanted to get in 15 this morning but ran out of time, so I may go back out tonight. Not likely, but who knows....

I actually did it--6 more miles tonight. My stomach was still full from a late lunch, so it wasn't pretty. Averaged 7:38/mile.

Nice work, I am glad to see you are doing pretty well after the marathon.

I ran into an All-Guard Member from Tucson today at the Tucson 5000. He said he ran a 2:47 in Lincoln. Maybe you know him?

He asked your name, but I only know it as Little Bad Legs...lol

I didn't get a chance to meet many of the other All-Guard guys, so I wouldn't know him. Yet, anyway. Maybe I'll get a chance to meet him at a future guard run. Was he running for fun, or competing for the guard?

BTW, my name is Glen Tucker. Did you say you were going to run the Air Force Marathon in September?

Thanks for the comment. Actually I haven't received scholarship offers. Just a bunch of letters from colleges that want me to check out their college. But I'm sure I'll get some soon.
