First run in Grants Pass.  I ran down a road called New Hope--it wasn't a highway but the speed limit was 45mph.  The shoulders are pretty wide so I'm sure I'll run there again.  I wasn't chased by any dogs so the run was a success.

I ran along the main one-way street to the north freeway exit and back.  It's exactly 4 miles to the caveman and I came home via Hawthorne St to add on the extra half mile.  It was a little chilly and we're supposed to get snow for the next two days.

First solid run in what seems like weeks.  I feel like my running has really suffered with everything that has gone on this month--new baby, new job, a move, new job, etc.  And I've been eating more.  More junk food that is...  Add that all up and I'm not feeling as fit as I did in January.  Anyway, tonight hit the spot and was just what I needed.  The pace wasn't anything to write home about, but I felt good for the first time in quite a while and I enjoyed running in the snow flurries.

7 miles this morning on an out/back course.  I ran around the middle school on Harbeck and then west past Albertsons.  It was 3.5 miles to the Co-op intersection, so 7 miles total.  Snow last night made for a cold run.  It's supposed to be even colder tomorrow...

15 miles around Grants Pass.  Literally.  This town isn't the biggest and it's going to take some work to map out long runs.  I ran west to the community college (3 miles) and then back through the Redwood subdivision.  I came back into town, crossed the river and ran west again on Bridge st, then returned on G st.  I hit 12 miles exactly at Sears as I jumped back on the main highway and then it was a 3 mile tempo (5:20/mile pace) back to the hospital and home via Nebraska st.  Solid run.  I'm glad I went out and got this over with.  It was 19 degrees when I left the house and I've turned into a wuss since moving to Oregon.  19 degrees in Cedar City was a GREAT day in February but now I'm used to high 30's and low 40's all winter long.  So is life...
