6 miles in Eugene.  First run in a LONG time I haven't came home with much money.

PM: 6 miles past the mall to Coburg Rd, then up around Costco and back to the hotel. I was just going to run on the treadmill, but my hotel key wouldn't unlock the gym for some reason. Glad that it worked out that way and I got some fresh air tonight. Home tomorrow!

Hey explain this money run thing u got going? Picking up coins along the way?

From Little Bad Legs on Thu, May 23, 2013 at 23:58:00 from 66.224.34.18

Coins I find, with a twist... I frequently find coins while running and I've always stopped to pick them up. In 2011 I found $66 on one run, and $6 more the following Monday! I decided to keep track for 2013 to see how much I find.

The twist is that living in Oregon, plastic bottles and aluminum cans can be recycled for a nickel so if I see one, I pick it up and jog to the nearest grocery store to drop them off mid-run. It can be a little dirty, but I guess I'm over it. Now it has become a sort of game and if nothing else, forces me to run new routes every day in hopes of finding new bottles. It really opens your eyes to how much people litter...

I was wondering how it worked. I was thinking you either have super sharp eyes, or we inhabit vastly different economic demographics (which is true). I found a quarter in my alleyway a few weeks ago, but I am pretty sure it was mine :) Oh, but I also found a diabetic syringe. Not the first one either.

Yeah, it doesn't count if it's your own money you find. ;-) And stay far away from the syringes... Lol
