1 mile easy, 3x1600, 1 mile easy.  Splits on the 1600 were:

  • 4:58
  • 4:58
  • 4:59

I should be happy with these times, but I wanted them to be faster.....

1 mile easy, 10 mile tempo.  Pacing was a little slower than I wanted.  I ran 2 HUGE hills and it was super windy, so overall it wasn't bad.  My last 2 miles were strong (5:21, 5:19), so that's good.

Total Tempo Time: 59:23

Pace: 5:57

Stayed in the city today, rather than the highway.  I ate 1/2 banana and 1 bite of a bagel 15 minutes before the run and felt fine, so that's promising.  Gatorade @ 4, powergel and water @ 8.  Course had 2 big hills and 2 big downhills.  I felt good.  Probably a little too fast, but I'll be okay.  My legs felt good.
