Back in Utah today. I flew into Salt Lake last night to meet back up with my family. We stayed in Bountiful and I ran along the bench near the temple. There were some nice rollers and one really big one. I managed to run 6:53/average pace and felt good throughout. Now a long drive home with a stop in Reno so we can eat In N Out.

Wow, quick trip! Cool you got a run in while you were here. I've never ran in Bountiful.

Very quick! My flight landed at 9:30 on Friday night and we were on the road home at 8:30 Saturday morning.

You're not missing much in Bountiful--I'm sure it's better where you are. By the way, what's the elevation you run at each day? Just curious...

My town is just under 6,000 feet, so I'm right in that area each day. About once or twice a week I run in the town I work in which is about 6,500, and all trail runs are around 8,000.

Are you at sea level?

Trail runs must be brutal in Utah!

No, I 'm just over 1,000ft. Maybe 1200? When I was in Portland my house was something like 42 ft above sea level so I rarely got much higher than a couple hundred on my long runs. I thought running in Bountiful would have been harder (5100 ft at my grandparents) but I didn't seem to notice it much for some reason.

It affects people differently, some people come to town and are bed ridden with altitude sickness.

Your in good shape, so your body is efficient at processing oxygen, which I think means you have a high red blood cell count. That's awesome your not affected by it.
