I ran west of town and stayed pretty flat for most of the run. Hit 8 miles and then stretched for a bit, then began a series of 2 mile repeats. First 2 miles in 5:53, 5:30 followed by 1/2 mile jog. Second set in 5:33 and 5:29 as I ran along Redwood Rd and into downtown across the river. Jogged 1/2 mile, then final 2 mile push past the skate park and home to Walgreens in 5:19 and 5:19. Felt pretty good throughout but the last mile was tough. Not bad though, given it's my first 'workout' since TOU. Grants Pass Half in 3 weeks. Hope to hit a PR. |
